On the groundlevel the airport is connected to the road network most conveniently.

The airport is easily reachable by the motorway A6 and A8 through its own motorway exit connection (Exit N. 34: "Contwig, Airport, Bitsch (F)").
The still very young country road L700 connects the airport without cross-town links to the french road network.
From there the free parking spaces are only a few meters away.
Adapted to the timetable of Germanwings flights there is an express bus connection to the main station in Saarbrücken.
